The Parker McCay family was saddened to learn of the passing of former attorney and firm shareholder Robert “Bob” Partlow. Bob was a longtime shareholder and member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and was integral in the growth and prosperity of Parker McCay.
Joining the firm in the early 1960’s after attending The University of Pennsylvania Law School, Bob played a major role in expanding the firm, growing from its initial focus on strictly Insurance Defense and Municipal work to include our now prosperous Real Estate and Business Law practice areas. He helped to mentor many of the firm’s former and current attorneys, offering sage legal advice on a wide variety of topics. As he became well known throughout Southern New Jersey in the area of real estate development, Bob’s reputation helped to greatly expand Parker McCay’s client base.
Bob was strong willed and determined, with steadfast views about the law that influenced his work. He always gave clients his best, ensuring that everything he touched was done correctly. Bob was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Philadelphia Eagles, and it was widely known throughout the firm to avoid him on Monday mornings after a Birds loss. Despite that passion, Bob was always more than eager to offer advice and counsel to his colleagues, both with Parker McCay and at other firms throughout the area. Many attorneys and even judges went to Bob with questions on legal matters, regardless of the area of law. His guidance and tutelage have impacted Parker McCay and our attorneys for over 60 years, extending his legacy with the firm well beyond his time here.
Parker McCay fondly remembers the life and distinguished career of Bob Partlow, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family.
